Airbnb, Booking.com and LekkeSlaap calendar sync in one place
Every booking site keeps its own calendar. StayKnit pulls them all into one view and sends your availability back out, so a night booked on one site is blocked on the others.
How the sync works
StayKnit uses iCal, the calendar link every major listing site supports. You paste each site’s iCal export link into StayKnit, and StayKnit gives you one export link to paste back into each site.
- Import: bookings and blocked dates from each site appear on your StayKnit calendar.
- Export: your direct bookings and blocks, plus bookings from the other sites, are published back out.
- Sync now: refresh your imports on demand from the Channels tab.
Works with the sites South African hosts use
Any site that offers an iCal link works, including Airbnb, Booking.com, LekkeSlaap, Vrbo and many local booking platforms. You can connect several sites per listing.
Direct bookings and owner blocks
Add phone, WhatsApp or repeat-guest bookings straight into StayKnit, or block dates for maintenance or owner stays. They are included in your export link, so the listing sites see those nights as unavailable.
Private by design
Your export link shows dates only. Guest names, prices and contact details are never included, and you can regenerate the link at any time if it is ever shared by mistake.
Common questions
Is iCal sync instant?
No. Each listing site refreshes iCal links on its own schedule, often every few hours. StayKnit refreshes your imports regularly and lets you sync on demand, but a short gap between sites is possible, so it is worth checking last-minute bookings.
Do I need an API connection or a channel partner account?
No. iCal links are available to every host on Airbnb, Booking.com and LekkeSlaap, so there is nothing extra to apply for. Live API connections to Airbnb and Booking.com are also available for instant updates and prices, and calendar sync keeps working alongside them.
Can LekkeSlaap be connected live instead of by iCal?
Not at the moment. LekkeSlaap only offers direct API connections to a small group of large channel managers, so StayKnit keeps LekkeSlaap in sync with its iCal calendar link. It refreshes every 3 hours, or straight away when you tap Sync now, and works on every plan.
Does calendar sync include prices?
iCal only carries dates. You can record the price of each imported booking in StayKnit, and set per-site commission and VAT so your payouts are worked out for you.
